Combined today's color challenge (amethyst, suede and apricot) with yesterday's CAS example.
I had this in mind for yesterday's card, but given today's colors, I decided to try to meld them. First, I masked off an oval where I wanted to stamp an image when I was done ... then I masked off alternately rectangles of suede then amethyst then apricot and sponged in from ink pad.
I went back and colored the stamp with markers in amethyst and greens and 'huffed' before stamping because I wanted a faded/washed out look to the image. I then pierced around the oval before popping it into the paisley embossing folder. I then took a pan scraper from the back side and smoothed out the oval because I wanted it to appear raised, like a cameo but still have a slight emboss to it. I sponged overall with apricot then edged with amethyst.
The image oval has a piece of dimensional tape behind it to keep the oval raised. I finished off with satin/organdy ribbon and matted on amethyst then white base.
I actually like the way this turned out ... hope you do too.
Thanks for looking!

Love how soft the colors are and that awesome layout! Your card is so pretty!
