For this card, I had two inspirations: first a picture for the DDIC challenge, and this great Earth's Mirth Pitcher for today's Inspiration challenge.
I used more dp on this one card than I think I've used all year. I usually prefer to make my own backgrounds, but this BasicGrey just called to me. I used the corner punch in the corners and also made a medallion with it. I used some of the red punch outs on the corresponding areas on the medallion. I used my Out of the Box Nestie Technique to cut out the fuchsia once I'd stamped and colored it w/ markers.
Closed, this card measures 5 x 5, but it started as a 10 x 10 (cut down from a 12 x 12 heavyweight c/s). I used a rainbow ink pad called Geranium to brayer the piece I used for the frame on the inside and the largest scalloped square Nestie to cut out the inside. The same ink was used to stamp the fuchsia and added some punched trellis.
This was a fun card to make but next time, I think I'll start with card stock that's a little lighter weight. This was a bit too heavy and that made it a little difficult to score and fold. Since it ends up being doubled, a lighter weight would have been perfect.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Julie, this is a fantastic card...inside and outside! This would be a card for someone very special since I'm sure it took awhile to create. Wonderful colors! The "pop out" feature of the inside is so beautifully done.
