I couldn't resist doing another for this challenge. Also because then I would work this out and possibly be on to something new. I like to figure things out and discover new ideas and ways to use things. http://roses-and-teacups.com/aprons.php
All of these aprons are my inspiration.
First off I cut a strip 2 1/2'x 11 of white cs. Punched the MS lattice border on each side of the strip. From the 2 solid strips on each side, before the scalloped part, I measured the distance. This was approximately 1 3/4 ". From there I took my 5x7 card and cut a slit from 1" to 6 ", 1" down from the fold. At 2 3/4' I cut another slit from 1' to 6". Then cut the shorter horizontal slits to meet up with both of the vertical cuts. I cut another 5x7 piece like this for the backing piece.
Apply glue to the parts of the lattice that are not going to be seen from the front and adhere to the back of the front card panel making sure that it is even and centered.
Apply the extra cut panel to this (backside)to cover glued area.
Since there is a window now, I took an extra piece of the beautiful dp and adhered this to the inside back panel to show through the cutwork.
Flowers are doubled, with pearls for the centers. Some have MS leaves attacked to the back. These are then adhered at various points on the card front.
Cherish is stamped and embossed on vellum that is in the same color family as the dp. Flowers are adhered to each corner and this is adhered to card at an angle.
There are a few other pretty dps in the I Do collection.
