I was inspired by this
note card portfolio for my card stripes and plaid combo and flower border across the card.
-Stamp the sentiment on first.
-Stamp the flowers on the sentiment panel (blue on the card) so they are an evenly space to each side. Mask off the flower and stamp the leaves using a stamp positioner.
-Cutting the out of the box feature is very easy by cutting to the image with the regular paper cutter on the front, marking the image on the back while holding to a light source then use the paper cutter again to cut to that mark. Scissor cut the image out. My paper cutter is a guillotine style. I used a Coluzzle and craft knife to cut between the images.
-Stamp two flowers and cut out (pink on the card). I use a black marker to define the edge of the cut out and hide that white.
-Color all the images with Prismacolor pencils. I use baby oil in place of Gamsol/mineral spirits.
-Stipple black ink on the panel edges. The flowers were covered with the mask and the leaves were stippled in the process.
-Glue the cut out flowers in place.
-Assemble designer paper and attach the cardstock strip and brads before attaching to the cardstock.
-Using foam tape, attach the sentiment/flower panel.
For the envelope IÂ’ll line the flap inside and the insert IÂ’ll add a few flowers.
To show a visual of the out of box cutting I put photos on my blog here.
