Hi! This card was made as a Blog Hop Sample and it was also inspired the website, Roses and Teacups. It's very interesting that this site was chosen for today's Inspiration challenge! I have spent FAR too much money on that site, according to my husband, but the aprons are my down fall! I love to wear one around the house! And, I OFTEN go to this site for inspiration, when I feel like making a Vintage or a Shabby Chic card, or when I can't quite "think" of a design. One short trip to this site, and I've got a card idea! Here are the cutest little favors that sparked my imagination for this card. I know they are not cupcakes, but for some reason, they sparked it into OVERDRIVE!
The cupcake was stamped in Adirondack Espresso, (which is NOT water proof), onto watercolor paper. Next, I used an aqua pen and Pearlescent watercolors to color in the image. The Espresso bled a bit, so I dabbed the areas with a paper towel and got a really cool effect in the icing. The frame is a series of Spellbinders' dies.
Finished card size: 4 3/4" x 6"
