Can you tell that the recipient of this card loves Flow Blue China? I found the images of these beautiful pieces on the internet. The medallion on the front is a Dahlia fold made from the pattern of the plates. Tutorial can be found in the resources section here on SCS to make the Dahlia. I picked a favorite plate pattern and resized it to exactly fit my circle punch. I sprayed the back of the paper with Glimmer Mist - Moonlight Blue (of course!) - and let that dry before I punched them out. You can see the original plate pattern on the tiny center embellishment that is made with shrink plastic baked in the oven. The water pitcher on the upper far right hand panel is also made with shrink plastic. Yes, it was a day of Shrinky Dink fun at my house! Hubby came home and asked, "What's for supper?" Oops, I guess I got carried away and forgot all about dinner. LOL "But look honey - I made these cool little plates!" hehehe
I hope you enjoy the eye candy as much as I did making this special card.
Thanks for stopping in.
