Move over Neva! I have had a busy week so trying to make amends and combine a few challenges. First off, All Hail to the Queen- CONNIE JO! I bow to thee. For so long your stories of missing your dear sister has touched my heart. I know that you recently attended a family wedding and were reunited but haven't heard the wonderful stories of that visit. I can only imagine the hugs and tears. I look forward to seeing my family in July- can't wait. I know how it is to be far from your sister. Something is just missing....... Ahh, let me get my tissue so I can continue with my description to get this thing posted.
Ahem. I missed the color challenge, so I took the liberty of using Garden Green, Close to Cocoa and Barely Banana for Miss Betty. As if that wasn't enough deviation from Connie's original, I pulled up this week's sketch challenge to post this for Roxie as well. Geez, I hope you can find something of your original bad boy card here. I did change the image to the guitarist from the snowboarder- can't stand the snow anymore. I did try to keep the feel of Connie's original that I really liked. I decided to stamp the happy birthday slanted directly on the bottom of the panel. A few silver stars and a round stick on expoxy brad are my embellishments. I kept things minimal to keep it masculine.

I for one, LOVE this card. Great colors and isn't this set just so fun to use. I never considered me as a rapper, graffiti kind of person but I love this set. You have mixed the elements perfectly. Great idea to distress the edges...follows the theme.
Sis and I had a GREAT visit. The wedding was beautiful and we were between two weather fronts which resulted in perfect weather. One week earlier lots of snow....one week later they opened the ski resort at Squaw Valley where we stayed. We had sunshine and clear weather during our weekend!!! Got to go and work with my sis. I ate and ate and ate really good food. Mutnik is a great cook. The time flew by so quickly.
Thank you so much for participating in my QFTD event. I really appreciate it!!!
hugs,

Absolutely AWESOME case of our Queen Connie!! I really like the color combo she used, even though she did a snowboarder, which is only natural coming from the woman who lives in a "wilderness" by her own description, I love how you "highlighted" the rocker with the Barely Banana, and the stars and epoxy brad just fine tuned this card any teenager would be tickled to get. What do the kids say nowadays ? - this is so totally RAD!?
