Here's my take on the queen for the day challenge and the free for all challenge to make a masculine card. It just so happens that I needed a card for our 29th wedding anniversary on Sunday. My husband is the best man in the world and a super father; I'm so blessed!
For the QFTD, I cased the sketch from this card of Connie Jo. IC161 - Icing on the Cake by Connie Jo9 at Splitcoaststampers
I flipped the sketch and changed the colors, and used different images. Now that I look at it, I see where my tweeks and changes may make it hard to see the original, but it was this card that inspired me.

What a great guy card, with the woodgrain touch, and choice of colors. Bet your DH will adore this beautiful expression of love from you! Congratulations on your 29th wedding anniversary! And yes, I can still see how you were inspired by Connie Jo's card - subtle changes made it your own!

It's beautiful Marilyn! Love your sponging and the tilted image just like Connie did! Happy anniversary...29 years. That is so romantic! Though I know, this kind of love is not always, because real love, lasts longer...Cool case my friend. TFS
