I stamped the Hero Arts Hydrangea and Antique Engravings Butterfly on linen cardstock in Art Print Brown ink & clear embossed. I stamped the butterfly again on purple cardstock and cut it out to adhere to the image. I also used the idea from the hanging boards (as well as this week's CPS Sketch) for my card layout.
I wanted to add a tiny bit of color, so I used a purple and green metallic pencil to color along the leaf veins and some of the petals, and then used a soft art eraser to lift most of the color back off, leaving a soft blended effect. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Card Messages after I attached it to the card, but the unevenness caused by the ribbon under neath the image resulted in an uneven impression along the top of the sentiment. I tried to line it up and stamp a second time, and ended up with a slightly shadowed effect, which I decided to embrace (a happy mistake).

How fun Steph! I love the look that you have a painting hanging on your card. The offset stamping of the sentiment definitely looks intentional, adds just the right depth! Great card and thanks for another fun inspiring website to browse!

Stephanie, I love your flower, and the sweet purple butterfly too. What a clever lady, this looks like a frame with the ribbon and brad flower up there. Thank you for introducing another fun place...now, do you want to see my credit card bill...lol Just kidding, I love to browse those stores!!! TFS and happy day!
