These are the three cards that I made on Wednesday night for the CAS DT challenge. Only one will be considered for the finals and I have to decide by tomorrow which one to leave the keyword on. My family's vote so far is this one.
When Jen gave us the theme of water, my thoughts went like this: "yeah, right. What about those gel cards...no don't want to make one of those. What about some punny fish...or lighthouses...or umbrellas...or a vase of flowers (after all, they're in water...lol!)." Then, I thought, "well, you could do anything in watercolor, after all it is water-based!" You can see that I got a little bit wierd!
Well, this is the first card that came to mind. I knew I wanted the embossing folder and the fish. Took a bit to come up with the ribbon, and even longer to decide about the "ground" at the bottom. But I love this card, and so does my DDIL.
The interesting thing I discovered in making this card is that I don't need to buy copics!!!! I know that I can be just as effective if I use watercolor.

I love those smiling fish and the interesting blades of grasses. The folder is perfect.

Another vote for this card! I absolutely love every little thing about it! The fishes, the embossed panel, the ground, and then that ribbon seaweed! I mean, GET OUT! That is way too clever. Good luck!

What a great card Quiltzi!! I LOVE your use of the ef for the water and those fish are so darn cute. LOVE how you used the ribbon as part of the ocean scene. How cool is that??? I looked at your other 2 cards and I have to agree that I think I like this one the best too. But, I'm off to comment on the other 2!! Good Luck!! TFS!
