This is for Monday's CAS69 Challenge, to honor heroes.
To honor deployed military personnel abroad, my kids and I made cards on Memorial Day to send to the Operation Write Home organization, which collects blank handmade cards to send out to deployed military personnel so they can send them back to loved ones here at home! "Miss you" and "Love you" cards are the most-requested types of cards at OWH.
My 11-year-old daughter Joanna made this CAS "miss you" elephant card all by herself!! She is so proud that it will be used by a soldier to send a note home to a loved one. By the end of the week we will have a nice collection of cards to mail on to Operation Write Home.
Thanks for looking and taking time to leave a comment for my daughter!! She will be tickled.

wow! this is so bright and cheerful, someone will smile when they receive it. the elephant stands out so nicely against the patterned background paper and the punched corners (mom's influence?) add a nice touch. how thoughtful of you to spend your time creating a card that will be so appreciated.

Wow! Emzi, you have some card makers coming along to stamp with you. This is awesome and I absolutely love the dp your daughter used. She has done an outstanding job and some soldier will love sending this to his/her child/children. Tell your daughter good going and both your children are doing a very special thing for the military. I think it is great that you are giving them these wonderful lessons of helping others by sharing.
