I used today's sketch, SC283, to attempt--for the first time--a one-layer card. I'm not entirely pleased with how it turned out, but it was a good learning experience :) , so I'm glad I tried it. I know it may not LOOK like it's just one layer, but it is--I used a LOT of masking!!!
Also for Speedy the Cat's challenge to make a silhouette card, this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to make a one-layer card, and this week's Crafty Creations challenge to use the colors black, white, with a splash of red.

Well, hello there friend! I've missed you. It has been crazy around here! Kudos to you for doing the one layer card! It is fabulous. I wouldn't have known. I love black and red together.

Well Emily you have amazed me once again! Fabulous way to have layers with a one layer card...if that makes sense! Love it! I did 2 of the same challenges but you have me beat! Wonderful card and easy to mail!! Super job as always. TFS!!

These are my favorite colors, as you so well know, so this card is high on my list!! Good for you, trying a one layer card. I wouldn't even attempt it on this sketch. You are braver than I am!!
