It seems every other kid in my neighborhood is graduating this year, so I'm going to need a lot of these. I tried to keep it on the simpler side and gender neutral. Ok, there's a ribbon, but it's in a knot. Guys like knots. Girls like ribbons. I thought I could also swap the peach layers for a lt blue for a more masculine look.
I had this chalk rainbow pad I made already out from another challenge, so I used it to stamp the sentiment and grad cap and my Out of the Box Nestie Technique to cut it out using a labels 2 nestie. I used the same die and traced it around it for the navy layer and the next larger one for the peach layer.
For the background, I sponged on the chalk inks in streaks then stamped over it using the same inks and the star background image. I used the same ink to color the white grosgrain ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm off to one of the grad parties! Be sure to give the graduates in your life a big pat on the back for a job well done! Close up on DRS blog.
My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
