I made another using today's sketch. I'm using one of the wonderful May sets from Our Daily Bread designs.
This rainbow chalk ink pad was already out on my work table, so I used it again. I really like the colors and soft, chalk finish. The pad is one I made w/ chalk reinkers and a blank Kaleidacolor pad. I stamped the image and sentiment w/ the ink, trimmed and inked the edges w/ the coral color. For the embossed panel, I used a Sizzix folder that was sold as a Christmas set, but I like the pattern. After embossing, I sponged on the chalk ink (the background started as white).
For the largest rainbow background, I started w/ a 4.25 x 5.5 white piece and sponged on all the colors of my chalk rainbow pad. My lower layer is made up of two garden trellis punched bands back to back. The other layers were added on top. The sentiment is attached to just the loop edge of the garden trellis and makes up my top, horizontal band.
My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Love the way you used the garden trellis punch. I feel compelled to use it front and center but now you've shown me that it can add a lot to the piece when placed subtly in the background. Fab!

Oh this is lovely Julie. So uplifting. I love the inkpad you used for your image. Lovely embossing. I love the sentiment on the cross strip. I could use God's healing hands to pass my kidney stone that is plaguing me. Hee.
