So I have been so busy dealing with the dreaded head lice that my youngest daughter brought home from kindergarten that I have had virtually no time to play in my craft room. I have been spending most of my days in the laundry room washing everything, scrubbing furniture, floors and beds and the in the bathroom washing hair. This is my first encounter with this and it is yucky stuff!!
Since I have been so busy, I have had to combine three of this week's challenges.
First is the color combo this week of Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Kraft and Neutral of choice (White). Optional was school notebook paper. Thanks for the fabulous colors again this week Betty!
Second is this week's sketch challenge, thanks Roxie, I loved this one as I usually do!!
Finally is this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge, I have brought apples for Trish LafishÂ’s teachers when she finally returns to school to graduate after being lost at sea.
I hope you like it and I hope your day is much better than mine!!

Oh Heather I am so sorry to hear about the lice - that happened to my daughter when she was in elementary school - it was not fun!!
Your card though is awesome! I love the glitter on the apples! Great job with combining the challenges!

You poor thing, lice! Maybe Trish has lice as well, there are sea lice you know. It seems so wrong when you make sure your child is clean and well cared for and just by standing next to someone with lice they get it too. My kids had 2 episodes in grade school and it was the same child who twice infected the school. Awful thing was the childs mother was a doctor! Good luck, hope you catch those pesky little things on the first go around.

Heather, your card is so sweet and would make a terrific teacher very happy to receive it! We occasionally get cases of lice in the dorms where I work...just recently had to do some nit picking and it is a real job to comb through someone with LONG hair! It happens to the best of people...it's a respecter of no one and has no reflection on a person's hygiene. Hang in there...this too shall pass.

Heather, love your teacher's card. Head lice are the pits. I remember when my daughter had it. It was so much work to get rid of. Her hair was so fine that the nit combs didn't really work on it. I ended up having to cut her hair very short after weeks of trying to get rid of these critters. She is 26 now and still hasn't forgiven me for cutting off her locks.
