Created for the TLC274 Black Magic Challenge. This was the first time I tackled this technique. I had to make it work for me because I do not have white stamping ink. I chose to use a watermark pad and stamped the image on black, then colored the image in using white chalk markers and a white gel pen. Waited for this all to dry and then used zig and tombow markers to color the image, I did not use water colors or colored pencils. After I had the image colored, I disliked the fuzzy image, so I stamped over the image with Starzon jet black and heat embossed using black embossing powder. Then I traced the image using my white gel pen. The stitching is all faux stitching minus the paper piercing, just fancy pen work. The scalloped circle both around the image and around the button are from the wild card cartridge. Is this still black magic if I change the magic words?

Wow, that was ALOT of work!!! Great job, though. Necessity is the mother of invention and I think you did very well being that you didn't have a white pad. Super finished product and the faux stitching is the perfect touch.

What a creative thing to do. I love the card too. It looks like your lady bird is wearing a big flowered hat, but I just realized it's not a lady bird. hee hee I have to say he's lovely.
