This is one of the cards my SU! demo Joanne had us make at her May Make and Take evening. I was a bit daunted when I saw the dimensional flower on her example card but she assured me the flowers were easy to make - and she was right! I was delighted to see we were working with one of our new UK colours - Rich Razzleberry, what a fab colour!
We stamped French Filigree in VersaMark and heat embossed with clear powder on the white panel. We punched 5 Scallop Circles for the ruffled flower, pierced a hole in the centre of each one, spritzed them all front and back with water and then got busy scrunching them all up. We unfolded all the circles, scrunched them up again and unfolded them and then stacked all 5 circles together and fixed them together with a brad. Then we pinched and shaped each layer to form the ruffled flower. Spritzing the scalloped circles means they are really soft and pliable but I can't believe how hard the flower ends up when it has dried!
We added leaves made from the wing of the Two Step bird punch - we added a bit of shaping to the leaves.
