Poor Seth, he's been sailing solo around Lake Michigan for weeks now, and as he tries to tack his way back to his home port, he finds himself up against 42,000 waves pounding on the shores of Waugoshance Light. He's tired, he's lonely, and he's filled with despair. Suddenly, the storm breaks, the seas subside and he hears a lovely voice coming from the lighthouse. It's Laura, lighthouse keeper Larry's daughter, professing her love for Seth, singing "If you want to know how much I love you, count the waves."

I used two of the stamps from By the Sea, trying to line them up with my Stamp-a-ma-jig. It's pretty tricky with an oval stamp, so my horizon is slightly off kilter. Drew a distant point of land to cover it up. I colored the image with Copics, then drew in some more wave lines to even things out. Stamped the sentiment on whisper white, then trimmed off the excess. The waves on the bottom embossed panel were cut from a Sizzix nesting swirl, a gift from Anne Ryan. Thanks Anne! Stickled the waves and doodled around the edges.
Thanks for looking!

Wonderful card! Who would have known you used 2 oval stamps for this. You did a super job of "fixing" it & if you hadn't said anything no one would have known. Great story too. Tfs.
