This was my first experience playing with my new twinkling H2O's, lots of fun! I took a very fine paintbrush, and simply painted the expression lines on the blossoms and the leaves, and then added a bit more sparkle by using a sakura clear glitter pen in the middle of each blossom. The base of the card was dry-embossed with the cuttlebug folder, Fleur de Lis, then the diagnal lines were highlighted with the same sakura glitter pen. The outside edge of the focal image was sponged with SU's lovely lilac ink, the same color as the card base.
On the inside of the card, the decorative butterfly on the DP was highlighted with a sakura clear glitter pen. On the envelope, the small hydrangea was stamped on the front as well as the envelope flap, and was colored with copics, copic atyou spica glitter markers, and sakura glitter pens.
I'm definitely mourning the loss of so many purples at SU (my favorite color), and I'm particularly sad to see lovely lilac and almost amethyst retiring, as well as mellow moss, a beautiful subtle green.
This card was made for a very special friend, my friend Janet on her 60th birthday. Her husband threw a surprise party for her, inviting her closest female friends and female family members, and it was a wonderful evening! Janet is also a stamper, I began stamping at a SU party at her house. As a a birthday gift, I gave her some stamping supplies, including the saleabration set, Vintage Labels that I used on the front of her card too (my own stamp set!), I think it's one of the nicest saleabration sets I've seen in ages, love it!
Thanks for checking out this card!

So pretty - what a wonderful thing for your friend's husband to do for her birthday! And stamps and a handmade card from a friend - pretty hard gift to beat!
