This card is made in honor of Miss Boo's Birthday today. Today's CAS challenge was to make a birthday card and use the color orange (Miss Boo's favorite).
I used a technique I just learned yesterday where you take a negative from a nestie and lay it on your cs and sponge (or in my case I chalk) the background color you want to use before stamping your image on the cs. It is such an easy technique, but I think the finished product is so pretty.
For this card, I used three different shades of orange starting off on the border with the darker orange, and working my way in with a softer yellow orange. I used Stampin Up Image and sentiment from Thoughts and Prayers, and then added butterflies (I love butterflies). I then corner punched the dp and slipped in the white cs into the corners. I used MS markers for the stamp.
Hope you have a Happy Birthday, Miss Boo! Here's to you
