I'm SO ready for a vacation - virtual or otherwise, so today's Free For All Challenge Forums at Splitcoaststampers was right up my alley. When my husband and I were last in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, I fell in love with the tropical flowers growing wild everywhere, so I grabbed my Island Floral Bigz die and went to work. (I also conquered this old Color Challenge so I could use up my stash of Summer Sun stuff. Forums at Splitcoaststampers)
I started by adhering 3-1/4" by 3-1/2" squares of Sticky Pages to Whisper White cs and then ran them through my Big Shot with the Island Floral Bigz Die (in SU's Summer 2010 Mini!). I peeled off the top backing and added Orange Fine Supernova Glitter. All three layers are held together with the Summer Sun Corduroy Brad and then further attached to a 1-3/8" circle. (That circle is what's adhered to the card because I don't like the brad's feet to show inside the card.) While the Big Shot was out, I made a stem for the flower with my Swirly Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die and Whisper White cs. I glued down the stem (to a Pacific Point card base), then my flower and finally added the Tangerine Tango bow with a couple of Mini Glue Dots.
