Wonderful idea for a challenge! A vacation sounds like a brilliant idea. I made this card a few days ago but somehow never uploaded it. Today's challenge seemed like the perfect place for it.
I grew up in a beach town on the Gulf Coast, so these scenes seem familiar to me. It was fun living so close to water (except during hurricanes), our house was only a block from the bay and the beaches and Padre Island were only 20 minutes away. If felt like almost every day was a vacation.
For this card, I used a number of ocean and map images. After stamping, I cut the images into sections and the colors were sponged on assembled on a black background then attached to a 5.5 x 4.25 (A2) gold ochre card. I cut out the sentiment and two anchors and attached them on top with a piece of raffia.
Thanks so much for looking! I wish you smooth sailing and a nice ocean breeze. My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
