I needed a proper hat to watch the races in style. So, I dug into Anne Ryan's closet for this hat (cuz she is very old). Anyway, what a pain in the neck these hats were. I'm so glad I'm a modern gal with hot water and an Espresso Machine!!! Don't get me started about the way they used to use the "wish book"!
PS: Don't you all think there should be a gallery just for making fun of Anne Ryan?
This is for multiple challenges including my late entry to the Twisted Sistah Challenge to use distressing and DP and the sketch challenge turned.

Yeah, I like hats and all that, but I think I'd have a sore neck after wearing that for any length of time. Maybe that's why Anne makes such sarky comments sometimes - she's in pain??
What gorgeous papers - especially that one just under the image panel.

I love this image and you colored it perfectly. love the oval and layers. very vintage look. ssshhhh don't tell anyone but I think a gallery dedicated to having fun with our dear Annie Jo would be perfect....remember this is just between you and I....... Annie does have people....I could tell you some stories!!
I am so happy we do not have to wear hats like this anymore. Annie would look good in it though. I tried to picture it on her avatar picture and it was an improvement for sure.
hugs,

my goodness you are the brat aren't you teasing Anne like that! LOL! I love your card! It really does have a great vintage feel to it. Wonderful glittered paper in the background - did you do that yourself? Great pearls too!

Shucks! I should have gone to Squigglefly to get my filly a fancy hat like this.
But, she was so picky...just wanted a little sunbonnet. Poor Anne, she gets the business but I bet she loves every minute of it. Don't you? Pretty card and a fancy panel behind your main image. Off to the races!!! Hope your mom is doing well, Brat.

How does that hat stay on her head??? It looks like it would fall forward! It is a good thing I didn't live back then - I wouldn't have worn anything like that - I probably would have been thrown out of places for being under dressed! Anyway, perfect card for watching the races with a mint julep!
