This week for the teaparty we are getting ready for the Kentucky derby. When Cindy told me the story for this week's teaparty, the first thing that came to my mind was Dan Fogelburg's song I also was inspired by too Tall to make a long tall card.
I used thisHorse image. I then used microsoft publisher to flip the image and crop it.I used word art to add the words RUN FOR THE ROSES. I printed it and colored it with prisma colored pencils. I added some of my hand made roses. Thanks for looking.

I hate to tell the Muddah - but it looks like your horse already won! There will be mud flingin' for sure over that!
Love your horse and how you did the word art!

Your horse is definitely a winner. Just look at those long legs! Your roses are wonderful. I can smell them through my computer. Happy racing my friend! Love your card. TFS :0)

Great minds think alike with the song. I think my favourite of his is It's Maine and it's Autumn, DH sings that one sometimes. And The Leader of the Band. Give me old music any day over much of the current stuff.
How clever to use a long tall card - and you've obviously got a winner here with those roses .

MariLynn, I listened to this beautiful song as I was shopping for the 'right' one. It is wonderful to go with your card! McGyver, I love your ingenuity and style! And quilled roses too! You rock!
