What a great challenge today! I had to laugh because this is one of my favorite techniques and I've been doing it so long, it's not a big challenge anymore. I love doing out of the box using Spellbinders! I even did my own Out of the Box Nestie Technique tutorial for it over a year ago after Roxie and I had a discussion about the different ways to do this technique. The tutorial is wonderful on SCS. Mine looks slightly different because I use a template cut with the Nestie. I do this because using the actual die would make the cutting line an 1/8 of an inch off. Maybe it's just me, but I like to know the exact cutting line.
For this one, I used this wonderful courtyard scene from the Assisi Street set and sympathy sentiment from the beautiful calligraphy Sympathy set. I stamped the scene twice and did the Out of the Box Nestie Technique on one and used the second for my base image. I used a couple of pale green markers to add just a little color. I also used the same technique for the sentiment and layered it on a scalloped oval. I added a forest green mat under the scene to give it a little separation from the base image.Finished card measures 4.25 x 5.5 (A2).
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

I'll have to check out your tutorial.
Wonderful image. I was going to say it reminded me of France, but that sort of bell-tower is so Greek. Either way, it definitely makes me feel abroad.
