The translation from Isaiah 26:3 from the Hebrew to English is peace peace, or perfect peace. The stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge this week was to make a card about Peace or Prayer. The first thought that came to my mind was the old hymn Peace, Perfect Peace. I especially love the 5th verse which says "Peace, perfect peace, our future all unknown? Jesus we know, and He is on the throne." The hymn was written in 1875 by Edward Henry Bickersteth. He had heard a sermon on Isaiah 26:3 and was reading that same verse to a dying relative and was inspired to write the words to this hymn.
This is also for the TLC268 bookmark challenge. I made my bookmark with a binder clip and a simple rectangle. I made a pocket on my card for my clip to fit into.
I used my little Layers of Color free digital bird image. I colored it with prisma colored pencils and added heat embossing with gold ep to the bird and the card with my embossing pen.
