-There is no glue involved in the patchwork assembly – Before I die cut I place each strip of paper on one sided sticky paper that is cut to panel size or the large 4 x 5” mailing labels that you can find in the office supply stores works well too and I trim ¼” off the 4” edge before starting my patchwork.
-Line up the patchwork panel on the top note die cut, secure in place with repositional tape and run through the machine. Save the excess for the inside of the card.
-Ink up the background image and with the rubber image facing up carefully place the patchwork panel on the rubber and very gently rub across the panel to get an inked image only on the embossed portion of the panel.
This image was also used for the base and sentiment border.
-Ink distressing was done on the squares before they were assembled, on the panel edges after assembly due to cutting some off and on the all the remaining panels.
-Brads were placed using a paper piercer.
For the inside:
I went to a little extra pains to line up the panel over the top note to get it even so I could use it inside the card with a plain piece of cardstock or paper. After cutting it was stamped with the background image but it really doesnÂ’t show in the photo.
Tools, Cuttlebug and embossing folder, sponge, Stampin Up Top Note die, Bazzill piercer, Nestabilities

What a lovely and distictive masculine quilt card, Roxie! TFS how you did this. Very good hints. I like the antiqued copper brads you used at some of the intersections.
