I made this Easter card for my 6 yo DD. She is SOOOOO excited about the Easter Bunny coming - nothing is more precious than seeing a child's eyes light up in wonder at the magic of it all!
One of my favourite cards to make is an Easel card from the TLC242 Challenge of 'Easel cards'. See this link for the deets: Forums at Splitcoaststampers They are so easy but look so good, and it makes me decorate the inside of the card which I don't often do.
This cute little Penny Black bunny and chick was coloured with Gamsol and Prismacolor pencils and I lightly chalked around the image with both Kaisercolour chalks and I-Kand-dee pearlescent chalks. It was very cloudy and quite "dull" here yesterday, so it was really hard to get a decent photo. I added Kindyglitz Crystalina to the bunny's cheeks and ears, the chick's cheeks, plus the flower petals. The tiny pink and light mustard hearts near the chick and on the bottom RHS of the bottom panel (where you write your message) are the leftover punchies from my EK Success Arrows border punch which look like tiny hearts to me.
The main panel has been popped up on 1mm mounts (dimensionals) as has the sentiment panel. I finally "made" myself use 3 of my gorgeous little stash of pink Robin's Nest Dew drops. They are so pretty and shiny! I sure do love them!
When I added the 3 flower brads to the bottom section that holds up the front panel, I didn't push them quite all the way through so that they were high enough to hold the panel easily without the panel slipping off. There is also a score-line above the pink punched border on the bottom section which I made with my new Martha Stewart scoring board.
