There are 2 versions of the sketch, one a more basic one and the other a more lavish one. I did a mix of the two, but mostly the more lavish one.
There are several panels to the card which I decided needed to be a 5.5 x 5.5 card to get everything on it I wanted. I used 2 coordinating patterned papers by My Minds Eye. My color combo is old olive and dusty durango.
I cut and adhered panels per the sketch after paper piercing every panel. I used the faux stitching technique on the first large panel.
I made the larger top left corner flower with my scallop punch that I clipped and bent inward. I topped it with a neat see through brad with a butterfly inside it. I've been waiting to use that pretty brad.
For the image, I used SU Season of Friendship and added some prima flowers and bling after stamping the leaves. I sponged lightly with certainly celery and used the distressed stripes ef on the image panel.
I popped up the first panel, the image panel, flower combo and greeting on dimensionals.
I had fun with this and decided it would make a nice Mother's Day card for my MIL.
Thanks SO MUCH for visiting and have a great evening.

Of course you did the more lavish approach Fruitflake, because that's what you do best! This is wonderful - and Annie-Jo will be so happy you made it square AND super-sized it! Piercing, punching, pretty papers and bling - so Perfectly Pam! I had to look closely, but I see you're still faking it with the sewing end of things, eh! There's enough in the way of punching to qualify for whatever it is that makes it a Punchkateerz creation too. Love it. Have a good day... Hopefully the comments are landing in this century now... I'm still having to look all over the place to find the buttons to click on. Catch you later.

Now let me ask you a question: dont you just love 5.5 sq cards? There's just so much more room to do things. Okay, on with the good stuff. First, I am overjoyed you decided against another Christmas card. I was so on the fringe of falling into the deep end with the last you made for Peggy.
Secondly, the papers are wonderful for that image, fruitcake. Ooooh, so pretty for your mom. You followed the guidelines perfectly unlike myself. This is just one realy great card. Perfect everything, but then, fruitcake, when do you ever upload a card that isnt totaly perfect? So good to see you in the gallery.

Pam these colors are so nice! I love those papers together too. Your Mom in law is going to love this creation! The tree as the focal point with those raised flowers is very creative. Corner flower is awesome. So many fine details make this card so pretty. Glad you could join us again this week for the MMSC. Wonderful take on the sketch.

Your MIL is going to love you for this beautiful card. I love your tree flowers and the flower you made, also. Beautiful brad in the center. You used yummy colors and no 'real' stitching..so all is right with the world! It's a beauty!!

Pam you have got the layering going on with this beauty girlfriend!!! I love it. This is a real show stopper with the wonderful colors and papers. The imagery is amazing and captures the essence of spring in the softness of the color and fine lines. The paper piercing and stitching is phenomenal. This is magnificent. Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. We love this fabulous creation you treated us too!!!
