For today's IC, I chose Travel Cake. I figured, if you're traveling, you're going to need a map. The images I'm using are a new release from Innovative Stamp Creations called Destination.
I call this weather map because after I did the large bg, it reminded me of a map from the Weather Channel w/ all the different colors for cold fronts, storms, etc.
For the bg, I used water colors and a water brush to paint the bright colors. After it dried, I rubbed some iridescent ink over the top for just a little shimmer. I stamped the big bg map on top with black ink and also a portion of the map onto a piece of coral textured c/s. It's edged using the Galaxy markers and attached to a brill blue 5.5 x 4.25 card.
I used Stazon to stamp the ticket onto a piece of acetate (it's actually a piece of packaging I saved). The greeting was stamped onto a narrow white strip and positioned behind it. It's attached w/ a couple of brads. I put my card together and attached a large button/brad combo in the upper left corner.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your first weekend of Spring! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Julie, this is SO creative...and beautiful! TFS how you created this, because I would be scratching my head saying."How did she do this?" The colors are stunning and the acetate ticket just puts it into another realm! Fabulous!
