Another challenge! As you can tell from my gallery, I am addicted to challenges! And now we have this new one, in Fun and Games, to recognize a fellow challenge follower. I am so happy to have another excuse (errr... reason?) to case some one. Today it is Peggy, aka marilynprestonn. Peggy is a follower of many challenges, creates great cards, and is always there with a comment and loving support. Congratulations and enjoy, Peggy. Enjoy wearing your crown this week. (And contrary to what she might say, no $ exchanged hands for these remarks. LOL!)
Here is her lovely card: RIVIERA LADY [pic] by marilynprestonn at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the colors, type of DP, brads, and the layout.
I used a similar image. As for the border - I did not have the lovely, ornate frame she had, so I experimented.
I used the largest and third largest scalloped nesties, nested them and then cut the blue edging. This is the first time I tried this, and I like the result. It is adhered on top of the image oval. I realize the image is kind of cut off - not sure I like the final result over the hat, but the best I could do with what I had to work with. I will try this technique again, but with an image that fits a little better. I plan to add a sentiment - probably happy birthday for our daughter - 52 this year. I left a bit of extra space at the bottom for that.
