This is for my friend, Rick. His birthday is today and I am also surprising him with a Cornish Hen dinner take out!!! He lives 30 miles away so I am making it today and taking it to him tomorrow when he gets back from celebrating his birthday with his family in the mountains. He taught me so many things.....dirt bike riding, knife throwing, archery and my favorite...golf. Not only that but he introduced me to how beautiful Colorado is by hiking and riding trails in various areas and golfing at beautiful courses. We are like brother and sister.
This is for my sister's honor (thank you Annie Jo) for today's Queen for the Day challenge. My sister, mutnik, is so talented and sweet with all of her comments and I am so happy she is being recognized by a few of us. So the things that are the same....we started with white paper for the image. period!!! You can see her card here . Things different:
She had a castle....I have a barn
She had a chicken fishing....I have Rick
She had a moat.....I have a lake
She usually frames with a checkerboard edge this time she fooled me and did dots but since I am old and have a very short memory...I did checkerboard!!!
And...I did a sky (you can barely see it!!).
I had fun trying to case my sister. Thank you so much for making her day special.

Oh russian satellite spy, this is just adorable. I immediately saw the mutnik black blocks. Love the paper you used for your fisherman. such a really darling and fun card. Your sistah might be a little upset her card is going to Rick. Hey, I'm not getting in the middle of this one. You guys are gonna have to settle this without my intervention. I cant be all things to all people! Please try to remember that, will you?

What a great way to honor your sis with this cute digi. Now, I wonder why sisters try to confuse us...checkerboard, dots, checkerboard. You just never know. Hope this guy catches a big mess of fish so you and Rick can have a fish fry. Too cute. Betcha you sis will love it.

Connie this is a gem! You did a fabulous job on this card! Rick will treasure it I am sure. But I agree with Anne..you better hide it or Cathy will grab it! (well she would if she lived closer!) Super job! We love you both. Hugs!

Great card Connie... this is really a very cute card... for your sister she loves these kinds of cards too.. and she certainly does deserve to be Queen for the Day... or the week really... just a great person... so if you two are really sisters... LOL.. then I guess that explains why you are so nice too... Great CARD....

Oh man oh man....Sis, tell me it isn't so. Rick gets this? Okay, let him have it only next time I'm talking to you and he calls, don't switch over at all. That'll show him. hehe......You say the only thing similar to my card and yours is the white dp. Well, that's definitely not true. This little scene here is just darling. Doesn't look a bit like Rick tho. hehe! I love how you listed the differences perfectly and I love how you compared Rick to my fishing chicken. What a hoot! Rick fishes with a bobber? I thought only us goofy girls did that. Brings back memories for sure. I just love this card. Ask Rick if he plans on keeping this or round filing it cuz I'll take it after he's looked at it. again, hehe. Thanks soooo much for being a part of my wonderful day thanks to our half sister, Anne Ryan. I am having so much fun! TFS :0)
