I made this journal as way to plan and keep track of the art projects I do for my preschool art class I teach. I bought the notebook at Walmart and thought it would be nice to alter the front. I removed the metal coil, measured the cover and then cut to size a piece of tan cardstock. I ran it through my zyron and adhered it to the original cover. I stamped various images onto the front leaving a small space in the center to stamp the word "ART" and the phrase stamp from "the art of life" set. I cut various coordinating ribbons to about 4 to 5 inches long and just tied them onto the wire coil after I wove it back thru the notebook. I had to punch out the little holes with a small hole punch by SU (can't remember the size) and while it wasn't an exact match, it worked out o.k. I also used a cotton ball and some basic brown ink to age the edges of the cover.

You did a beautiful job on this journal. I'm sure a few others in the school are going to be requesting one too !! :)
