For the Ways to use it challenge I used a new frame image from Hero Arts.
For the Free for All challenge I added some gems to my butterflies.
-I did a watercolor wash for the background on this card using ink for the color; technique link. I stopped the blue at the ground level. I then went over the sky area with a fan brush using the same water and ink but with more ink. I also did a light mist of water over the panel and that helps blend the shades of color into a natural looking sky. Brushed on the brown and it was ready to stamp after drying which I do with the heat tool.
-I should have refilled my ink pad before stamping, thatÂ’s why the frame image came out so light and rather than start again with new paper, I decided I could save this one and stamped on the single flower and my mistake helped create depth.
-The gems are attached with Diamond Glaze using a large corsage pin to pick them up. Touch the pen in the glaze then to the back of the gem and position it on the card and press down with the finger.

-The butterflies are paper sculpted using a metal ball stylus and a folded paper towel for cushion. First score wing lines then turn the punched shape over and make circular motions with the stylus staying away the edges and score lines.
ENVELOPE
I had to do a repeat stamping since the image is not the width of the envelope and if you look close youÂ’ll notice the stem of the Rubber Stampede flower is actually the dandelion stem from the far left of the frame image, I kept the ink low on the rubber. I then used the Itty Bitty Backgrounds image to blend it all together.
Tools: heat tool, ½” flat and fan artist brushes, Martha Stewart – butterfly punches, border punch, corsage pin, stamp positioner, Cuttlebug and embossing folder, brayer, metal ball stylus, paper towel
