Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
I was determined to use this new set: Ferns and Chickadee. You see, the set was designed around the memory of a very wonderful man, my grandfather. Big Grand-daddy's love and wisdom got me through my childhood's challenges and the loss of my daughter. I miss him, so much, and today is the anniversary of both their passings. It's a difficult day, but, it is also a comfort to use this set and to think of him.
The ferns were inked in Viridian Leaf and then in Espresso. The were stamped and off stamped onto Classic Flax panel. The chickadee was stamped in Pitch Black and sponged in with Charcoal and Sun Flower. The top flourish is a Spellbinders' Frame cut down.
Finished size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Total time to complete: 38 minutes

I'm sorry for your loss Faith. It's such a wonderful gift to keep our minds' and hands' busy with creating cards. Your card is lovely. I love your hazelnut spellbinder piece, your ribbon, and your small fern frond down below.

This is lovely, Faith. I really like how you did the tab with the fern and gold domes. Thinking of you today and hoping you're okay.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia

Faith - this is adorable!
So sorry for your losses...isn't it just amazing how the littlest things seem to bring the most comfort? Hang in there...grab some chocolate and hang out with Speedy the cat :) Hugs to you in this rough time.
