I'm using my "Grin" stamp, again, to make this card. I wanted to show how you can use distress inks to color in your embellishments. I've been waiting to use my yellow and teal colored paper.
I heat embossed the stamped image, onto standard white cardstock, using black embossing powder. After I heated it up with the heat gun I colored it in using copic markers. Then I cut it out with the Deckled Edge Spellbinder die cut.
I cut out all the papers with my Cricut, using the Fabulous Finds Cartridge. The 2 rectangles are 2 x 4 inches and the matting. I added pop dots to those pieces. I then made the butterfly. I used the Cuttlebug butterfly die cut and emboss folder. I cut out 2 of them. I inked both with Broken China & Mustard Seed Distress ink. I added Stickles yellow and teal colored glitter glue to the embossed areas.
I finally found a way to make ribbon work. I never had much luck. I cut a piece long enough to go over the width of the card and enough to go over the top and bottom to secure it. Then I took another piece ,4-5 inches long, and put it under the ribbon you just placed (Like a cross). Under and in the center. Then tie a knot....and done. Trim the edges.
