My ribbon is wrapped around some chipboard and hung on the clothes rod with shower rings. The ribbon stays in place and does not unravel since I used small rubber bands to hold it on. I added two shower rings on the embroider thread organizer to allow it to hand more freely. Love this organization cause I can easily access my ribbons and see what all I have. Before the ribbons were just in a plastic containter and always getting tangled up. Can easily unhook the shower ring and take to my table to decide on the ribbon and cut off what I need. Also able to hang the ribbon from my metal shelfs if I am using a lot of ribbon during my craft time.

This is a good idea for the ribbons. Currently mine are all shoved into a drawer, thereby becoming creased and tangled up. I think I am going to use your idea myself as I am new to card making I sorely need ideas for storing all the stuff I am accumulating.
Thank you
Gosh do I know about accumulating "craft stuff". I am constantly re-arranging and trying to find a better way to store my treasures.
Tonight while I was working on some cards I hung several of my ribbon cards on a metal shelf unit next to my desk so that I could rummage thru them easier while matching colors with my paper.
Would love to see a pic of yours when you get them completed.
