I was able to get to the Midnight Madness sketch challenge a little earlier this week. I chose to do an Easter card again this week. I used the SU Abundant Hope stamp set for the card and filled it with an array of butterflies per the sketch.
If you'd like to try out this fun sketch, check out the Midnight Madness blog found here:
There are lots of chances to win prizes and the design team is just so incredibly talented. They have a new sketch every week - one a more detailed sketch and the option is a more CAS version of the detailed sketch.
I used the SU Parisian Summer dsp for my patterned papers and sponged around the outsides of each panel.
I embossed the oval behind the cut out image and the smaller panel with the birds and swirls ef. Don't know if it showed up too well in the photo.
I used the faux stitching technique on the main panel and the smaller rectangular panel. (No Benz, I haven't gotten a REAL sewing machine yet!! LOL!)
I colored the image with markers and sprinkled the flowers with dazzling diamonds. I then cut out the image and popped it up on dimensionals onto the oval mat. I then added the greeting over the flower.
From the dsp, I punched an array of MS butterflies and backed them with mellow moss so they would stand out better. I adhered just the centers to the mellow moss so I could open up the wings of the butterflies. And, then, of course, I had to bling out the butterflies.
I popped up the first layer, the rectangular layer and, the cut out flowers and butterflies on dimensionals.
That about does it. Hope you like it okay. The photo kind of washed out the colors. It's a little more pleasing to the eye IRL!!
Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to look and have a great evening.

Oh, just look at all those sweet butterflies fluttering around! Another adorable card, Pam. I love your faux sewing. I had to re-read your description to see if it was real or not. Awesome job!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
