This card was made for, or I guess I should say inspired by today's color challenge to use crushed curry, always artichoke and going gray plus neutrals of our choice. Weeeellll...I only have the going gray, so I fudged with summer sun and shabby shutters distress ink. The cs is from a packet my sis gave me called nature preserve, that I thought was hopefully close to the artichoke...it was definitely close to the shabby shutters in any case!
Well, hopefully my substitutions are close enough to the color challenge. I definitely love the color combo - it turned out to be easy to work with!
I inked up the fine lace background with summer sun & shabby shutters and stamped that on a piece of archivers cs in a cream color. For the image panel, I inked up the flower with summer sun, then rock 'n rolled it in dried marigold distress ink.
Hey! That wasn't allowed in the color challenge! I'm breaking all kinds of rules here - very rock 'n roll rebel of me! lol
Leaves and stems were stamped off once. I used going gray just for the flower center. Sponged lots of summer sun and shabby shutters around all the panels.
O.k., bring on the CC police - but beware! I'm armed with my heat gun and dangerous!!!
TFL!
