I made this for today's all-new F4A challenge, to use texture, a colour we don't use (blue, I hardly every use it except for colouring skies, and I've coloured the berries orange and added orange gems), and yes, it may not look it but that blue paper is patterned.
The texture is the outer part of the lace doily I chopped up yesterday, so it's also for WT259.
5 3/4" cream base. The blue paper is from HOTP, corners punched, edges sponged. I stamped the bird from ODBD onto watercolour paper and cut with the largest round Nestabilities, leaving the tail outside. After cutting, I stamped the sentiment.Coloured with watercolour pencils, and edged with green ink. The doily was a little larger, so I slightly gathered it up, and stuck it down at the back. Added some orange gems to the corners and image panel.
