Two friends have lost family members in the last couple of weeks. I like sympathy cards to be simple so that the message, not the craft, is what is emphasized.
Used a tutorial written by Beate using copics to color the stamp, then spritz with alcohol. The image she used and the result reminded me of Pennsylvania Dutch (Mennonite) folk art, so I chose the stamp from SU with a similar feel. Colored in Copics G85, G94, BG96, E49 & E77, then spritzed with alcohol. It took several tries before I got a look close to what I wanted, but still not great... Stamped on Serendipity white CS, sponged with SU Soft Suede and Memento Pear Tart and matted with artichoke. Stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede, punched with wide oval punch and mounted on a nestie. Attached all to a GKD Ivory card and sponged the edges with Soft Suede.
Thanks so very much for looking and have a peaceful day.
