Okay first I have to ask, who doesnÂ’t have a VW image in their stamp inventory? Okay so maybe IÂ’m the only one that does! I got this image from my SIL and I think it was in a bag of unmounted images and I figured someday I just might use it and after about five yearsÂ…today was the day after I saw this travel journal on the site. I knew right away what I wanted to do; it just took all day to finally get to it.
Thanks for the challenge Jennifer!
-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique found in the resources section here at SCS. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol.
-The road is part of the image but I had to extend it around the curve and in the for ground with a marker.
-The sky is sponged using my hand made cloud template. If you'd like to make your own template for the clouds look in this thread on post #48 for the pattern. Clear acetate works great.
-I thought the flowers and zig zag on the designer paper fit the image perfectly.
The scene reminds me of our trip to Alaska.

No way! Love it, Rox. I use to hang with a family years ago when I was in junior high school and they drove that very same van! What memories!! This just ROCKS!
