limited supply challenge this week called for ribbon and trim. Thread here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I used MS border punch behind the teapot, and ribbon, of course!! I sewed around all the edges and guess what? I over looked the right hand side of the striped DSP. the ribbon as attached and as I went to adhere the teapot I noticed that sewing was missing, so....What did I do? Just stuck it right under the presser foot and off to stitch land. Guided it right over the ribbon, and........I hadn't opened the card first.
I just sewed my card shut. As soon as I realized that small fact I was ready to take it out and ripp out the sewing and start over, then again, I realized that I would never be able to sew over the holes exactly. Guess what? My card is permanently sewed shut. Thinking about making a pocket out the right and adding a sentiment. Any other ideas?
I covered the teapot with Glossy Accents and popped it up. My sentiment is on a shimmery vellum, thicker vellum than normal and it curled around the edges when the glue dried. AI pulled it off and took a lyer of DSP with it. Stamped, punched out a new one and decided to cover up my mess with a book plate.
good card gone bad!!!

Oh dear, I shouldn't laugh, but it reminds me of the time I forgot to open up the sleeve before I sewed the trim around it...LOL!! sewed my sleeve shut...happens to the best of us dear...You could always just adhere the whole card to the front of another one...sure would be a shame to waste such an adorable image and beautiful colors
