When I draw children, I am usually inspired by someone I know, whether it be my own kids, my nieces & nephews or friends and this image is no exception.
My boys LOVE to play with our dogs, so this image of Joseph playing with Jess was inspired by my middle son. He wears glasses and loves to dress nice, thus the polo shirt . I named this boy Joseph because it's my maiden name and when I was a little girl, my dog's name was Jess.
Now that you have had a lesson on the image ;), how about the details of the card....
I used the Friday Sketchers sketch for today (love their sketches!!) and added ribbon and "trim" using a border punch for today's Limited Supply Challenge.
The sketch called for a flower or other element in the bottom corner, but since this card is for a boy, obviously a flower wouldn't do, so I made my own chipboard star out of cardboard, covered it with cardstock, sanded it, added the "outline" with a pen and added the buttons.
I wasn't sure I wanted to use ribbon for this masculine card, but it's not a shimmery ribbon, instead more dull like twill, so I think it works.
Sorry for writing a novel for this one! LOL!
Thanks for looking!
Blessings,
Korin
