Today's color challenge was to incorporate: Softly Suede, Perfect and Pale Plums ...
I stamped this TAC image on a piece of DP w/some plum colors in it with versamark & clear embossed it. I then sponged some chocolate around perimeter (I don't have suede ink yet). I matted this on some plum and used a paper piercer and marker to simulate stitching in 2 opposite corners. In the other corners I added some brads. This image panel was popped up on dimensionals.
Base is Plum with a layer of suede then perfect plum that I punched on the right side with a MS scalloped lacy border punch.
The sentiment is also TAC on white in perfect plum. I then distressed the edges and then sponged in same ink before matting on suede which I also distressed.
I finished by stapling a piece of gingham ribbon that matches the suede perfectly.
I also followed Sketch #107 "Recipe" from Sketches by Tamara - to use staples, stitches and stamping)
This is my 2nd card with this image using a reverse technique and I really like the effect!
Thanks for looking!

WOW, is this pretty!! What a cool looking stamp. I like your technique and how you did this. It took me a minute to see the face, I just thought the use of the colors was great. Very unique!
This is gorgeous. I love how you stamped the image on the DP, then brought out the details by sponging around it. Took me a minute to see the face also, but what a wonderful surprise when I did.
