Hi! I made this card for today's inspiration challenge. I chose this botanical garden image http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=30258032
to base my card on. I loved the colors and the mystery it envokes! The colors are so harmonious and fun, and yet it looks like no natural garden I've ever seen!
I decided to make a floral card, since I don't do those very often (althought I do have several bins of flowers, one from SU! alone!!) I love this flower; of course, I LOVE the clear (cling) stamps SU! now sells!!! Anyway, I stamped the flower after inking it in yellow and then rolling it in a darker yellow and then orange! Since I really liked the look of the flower, I decided to keep the area around the it kind of mysterious and ephemeral, So I sponged/streaked colors from ColorBox around the flower, leaving white spaces closest to it in a sort of circle pattern. I think it makes the flower really stand out! I mounted it on blue-green (SU! bermuda bay) cs, then onto a leftover piece of textured white cs, then added another layer of blue-green before mounting the entire thing on my white card base. I added the dragonfly after swiping various other colors from ColorBox onto vellum and then punching it out.
