Black, white, little dab of purple; make your own background and state the technique; ribbon and a bow. This is the Twisted Sister challenge this week. Here's my entry. I created the background by stamping using SU Polka Dots & Paisleys. Using my scallop circle Nesties, I cut a large circle from Purple, next smaller one from black and the next smaller one from white CS. Embellished the scallops with SU Signo white gel pen and then mounted one on top of the other with deminsional tape. Glued on purple and then black and white checked ribbon around the middle of the card and added the demsional scalloped circles. I had one heart sticker left from the sheet I used to embellish valentine cards I mailed out yesterday so I added it sense it was purple. Then the next three hours were dedicated to tieing that darn bow!!!! One other step I left off; using a broad tipped permanent black marker I drew a border around the entire front panel. Stamped the sentiment using Elegant Eggplant and still needed something so I added the little background flowers on the white scalloped circle using Lovely Lavender. The sticker has some glitta on it but I couldn't capture that with this antique digital camera of mine.

Wow- that three hour bow is fantastic sista! Three hours, that all? Looks more like a fiver. Lol! You kill me! Beautiful card for Lesley's challenge today, these colors really challenged me for sure (and I was a cheatah too, added green!) and you did a great job with your background. Love that gingham ribbon and beautiful heart sticker. LYMI, and mom too! (Oh yeah, and Gunner)
