Well, at last I made it with Holly's Frosted Window technique. I was able to rescue the image on card, and just stamp the vellum and cut a new frame yesterday...I think maybe this would work better with a strong colour medium more like Copics. I had to use pencils, as watercolour would have cockled the vellum.
A2 white base, next layer is Snowflake embossed Bazzill Bling.
Stamped the snowman on white card and vellum with Christmas greetings on it. Coloured both layers with pencil, added snowflakes on the underneath layer. Layered the vellum over the card on foam tape, and added an embossed frame. Then I just added a glitter-card snowflake and a greeting embossed with silver and with the edges wiped with ColorBox Chalk Ice Blue.

Wonderful card - I love your deckled/embossed frame... The shimmer and glitter are very festive...

I love your card! I think it came out very nice with the pencil coloring - nice, soft colors. I also like how you embossed the paper for the top of the card.
Excellent work!!!!!
