-The negative embossing technique was used for the Cuttlebug squares; you can find the directions in the Technique Lovers Challenge list - TLC160.
-I used Prismacolor pencils to color the embossed areas.
-CHF Burlap Backgrounder was stamped on the under layer which is tool distressed. I also used it on the punched border and Weave is stamped on the reddish border.
-All the squares were ink distressed on the edges.
-After creating the artwork I layered it onto cardstock to create the borders then covered a piece of mat board (I have lots of it because I cut the mats for framing for myself and friends) with cardstock using a light coating of tacky glue. I put spacers between the artwork and glass so the two wonÂ’t touch and flatten the embossed images. This photo was taken before assembling with the glass to avoid getting a glare.
-I once had a doily in the frame from back in the my country style of decorating, so itÂ’s nice to put it to use again.
Tools: Tonic paper perforator for tool distressing, sponge, Martha Stewart border punch

So pretty! I love your borders~ they bring out the colors of the artwork so well!! The distressed edges along with the border give this such a vintage feel. It's like looking at early American collectible art! TFS
