Collage, vintage, shabby chic - none of them are my style, so Julia's collage challenge today was definitely a challenge.
I decided to start with Very Vintage, as it starts already with a bit of a collage effect, so I stamped it with Vintage Photo on some Basic Grey. Above and below it I stamped Forever Flowers in Pine Needles.
Over that I stamped Sohpia in Encore Bronze, embossed with clear EP and then overstamped slightly offset with black and embossed again. I trimmed my image panel and went looking for some base paper. The one I wanted had got something stuck to it, but this DCWV Old World paper was perfect to match the green ink I'd used.
Painted a Maya Road chipboard swirl with Distress Paint (love the smell of that stuff) and when it was dry, stamped with Forever Flowers and Vintage Photo. The butterfly is from the Very Vintage wheel, stamped on a scrap of the brown stamped background with the green ink, cut out and Glossy Accents added. The edges of the main panel were swiped with Versamark and embossed with black EP, then I added some lace down the right edge and a black gem in the centre of the swirl. I'll probably add a sentiment in the top right corner somewhere...
5 3/4" square.

I love this, Sabrina. Obviously, collage is not my thing. Your card is wonderful, and I love the double meaning ... is she going back to school?????
